Founded in 1962, Stockbridge High School is proud to serve approximately 1,500 students in Henry County, Georgia.
Under Principal James Thornton’s leadership, we are committed to academic excellence, personal growth, and a strong community spirit. As a Cognia STEM Certified school, we offer advanced programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to prepare students for future success.

Breaking Barriers with College Credit
Stockbridge High partners with Arizona State University and Harvard University to deliver FREE college-level courses in Title 1 classrooms. Students earn real college credit through live, interactive lessons led by top professors and university fellows right alongside their SHS teachers.
STEM Certified Excellence
Stockbridge High School is the only high school in Henry County designated and certified as a STEM school by Cognia, demonstrating our commitment to innovation, problem-solving, and 21st-century learning.
Advanced Placement Access & Expansion
Stockbridge High School is an AP Access and Support School and an AP Expansion School, committed to broadening student access to Advanced Placement courses and supporting their success through rigorous academic opportunities.
