Stockbridge Excellence

Welcome to Stockbridge High School, proudly representing the Tigers! Established in 1962, we are a valuable gem nestled in Stockbridge, GA, within Henry County Schools. Our vibrant school colors are orange, green, and white, and we currently serve around 1,500 enrolled students. Under Principal James Thornton’s leadership, our vision is to foster a safe environment where students thrive and staff connect, all while ensuring our community takes pride in our achievements.

The 2024 College and Career Readiness Index (CCPRI) indicated growth at SHS in the areas of College and Career Readiness and Content Mastery.

We saw a two-percentage-point increase in American Literature this year and have seen continuous improvement in U.S. History over the past two years.

Student attendance has increased by three percentage points for the 2024-2025 school year.

We’ve had a fully operational Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for 10 consecutive years.

Our Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) has been recognized as a distinguished unit for 18 consecutive years.

Our Class of 2024 secured nearly $13.1 million in scholarships across various domains, including academics and athletics.
