Meet Ms. Priscilla Ray: A Leader Committed to Student Success

Dear Stockbridge High School Community,

It is with great pride and gratitude that I continue serving as Assistant Principal at Stockbridge High School. Entering my second year in this role, I remain honored to serve alongside our students, families, staff, and community stakeholders as we continue building a culture of excellence, belonging, and achievement.

Throughout my more than 16 years in education, I have remained committed to one guiding belief: every student can achieve success when provided with meaningful support, encouragement, and opportunities to reach their full potential. I believe the foundation of a successful school is built on strong relationships, a commitment to student growth, and a collective responsibility to ensure every student feels valued, supported, and empowered.

I am a proud native of Warner Robins, Georgia, and began my educational journey after earning my teaching certification through Augusta University’s post-baccalaureate program. My career began at Burke County High School in Waynesboro, Georgia, where I taught high school English and supported diverse learners through co-taught, honors, and yearbook courses. During my time in the classroom, I served as a ninth-grade Professional Learning Community (PLC) leader and contributed to PBIS and school leadership initiatives.

After seven years as a classroom teacher, I transitioned into instructional leadership at Fayette County High School, where I served as an Intervention Specialist, PBIS Coach, and Literacy Chair. In these roles, I supported student achievement by developing intervention systems, facilitating professional learning, and collaborating with educators to strengthen instructional practices. My leadership contributed to the development of successful PBIS and Response to Intervention (RtI) programs recognized by the Student Support Team Association of Georgia (SSTAGE), including the Promising Star Award in 2018 and 2022.

In 2022, I joined Stockbridge High School as Graduation Coach, where I had the privilege of supporting students in achieving graduation and preparing for their future goals. Through collaboration, advocacy, and a commitment to student success, I helped strengthen graduation outcomes while serving on the school’s MTSS, PBIS, and Leadership teams. I also continued supporting educators through districtwide professional development focused on literacy initiatives.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Service Administration from Macon State University, a Teaching Certification in Secondary English Education from Augusta University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University, an MTSS Coordinator Endorsement from Griffin RESA, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Augusta University.

As a second-generation educator, I am proud to continue a family legacy of service and dedication to education. I am passionate about developing students, supporting educators, and creating a school environment where every individual feels connected, challenged, and inspired to succeed.

Having called Henry County home since 2014, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Stockbridge High School community. I look forward to strengthening partnerships with students, families, and staff as we continue advancing a culture where We Are Safe, We Are Connected, We Are Forward-Thinking, and We Are Stockbridge.

I am excited for another year of growth, collaboration, and achievement as we work together to ensure success for every student.
