The Exceptional Student Department at Stockbridge High School is committed to ensuring that all students receive equitable access to high-quality instruction in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Through individualized supports, evidence-based instructional practices, and collaboration with families and staff, the department works to meet the diverse academic, social, and behavioral needs of students with disabilities.

Our programs are designed to promote student growth, independence, and self-advocacy while aligning with state and federal guidelines. Instruction emphasizes skill development, academic progress, and meaningful participation in the general education curriculum whenever appropriate. Teachers and support staff work collaboratively to implement accommodations, modifications, and services that help students achieve their full potential.
